Thanks to a donation from EMMAÜS Solidarité Internationale, we will built and send a machine machine to shred the plastic in EMMAUS Vlora to increase their income.
Currently, Emmaus buys recyclable waste to 60 waste pickers (by weight), and sells them to recycling industries throughout the country. It employs several people on a fixed salary of 200 euros (Albanian average salary: 250 euros) per month inside the center for sorting waste. It provides its employees and collectors in a stable situation and smoothed with reasonable prices.
The machine will be the Emmaus Vlora property.
The machine was created by Dave Hakkens, the Precious Plastic community in the Netherlands. It is produced in open source, meaning that its plans are available to all, in order to make this building machines worldwide. It is part of a 3: molding machine, machine the plastic melt, grinding machine.
THE MANUFACTURER – Rémi Boyer
Rémi Boyer is carrying the machine by making its own improvements. The number, shape and arrangement of the crushing blades are optimized, the hoppers are added, the carriage is secured. These improvements allow a better machine productivity. Rémi is available this summer to build the machine.
THE PRODUCTION SITE – The TechShop by Leroy Merlin
Rémi is a trainer in TechShop. This place is a collaborative production workshop which, like a gym, access to machines and professional equipment as a subscription.
